Dear Parents,

I hope all mothers enjoyed their special day.  The children were very excited about making and giving you the special presents.  Our sunflower seeds "hatched" ahead of schedule.  It usually takes a couple weeks, but because of the unseasonably warm weather, the seeds went into overdrive and needed planting sooner than later.  These sunflower plants are the LARGE ones and with a little TLC they will grow quite tall. 

This week's letter is a tricky one.  It is the letter X.  Since there aren't many words or things that start with the X sound we will talk about words that end with X.  Mr. X is a little different.
